The Potomac Valley Irish Wolfhound Club (PVIWC) is a regional breed club dedicated to the health and welfare of the Irish Wolfhound. Our members live primarily in Maryland, Virginia and the District of Columbia. PVIWC is a very active club which hosts an annual AKC specialty and obedience show in the Spring, participates in educational activities and parades, rescues local wolfhounds in need of new homes, and sponsors a Fun Day in the Fall, to name a few of our regular functions.

New ❤️ screening opportunity: PVIWC will be hosting an IWF heart screening clinic on April 5, 2020. This screening clinic is being held in conjunction with a regular PVIWC meeting, but is open to any IW over the age of 2. The address is: 800 River Rd, Sykesville, MD 21784. Screening will start at 9:00 am and go till approximately 5:00 pm. Sign-ups available on our website at As always, screening costs will be subsidized by the IWF. We look forward to seeing lots of hounds there! (Donations are requested.)
